I had a strange dream last night... involving 3 people and myself.
In my dream, I really wanted just to pick up my car and drive away after I realized what was happening....but I was stopped. why can't I run away even in my dreams?? I don't need to be told repeatedly of what cannot be changed... I just needed to get away.......
For those of you wondering what happened to me on Monday...
I got to the airport and checked in and got on the plane. After 1 hour, the pilot informed us that there are fluids leaking in the rear panel and they can't fly until they clear it out. After 4 more hours, they finally cancelled the flight and once again I returned to Jenkintown.

Hmmm let's put aside the depressing post from yesterday...
So! This morning, I got up at 6:35am, left the house, hopped on the 7:00am train and arrived that the airport at 8:00am... when i got to the terminal at 8:05am, the attendant told me I'm 5 minutes late for check-in... so I'm not allowed to checkin! >< She gave me the option of flying to Detroit at 12:30... but the connection flight isn't until 7pm and I won't be at Seattle until 9pm... -_-;; the last coach back to Van leaves at 7pm and I dun want my dad to drive like 6 hours to and fro Seattle just to pick me up... so I decided to take the second option-- leave tomorrow instead.. =P
I must say this is really really bad and irresponsible of me... tomorrow for sure I'll need to take the 6am train instead.. Oh well!!
See! It's all works out, I lose one day, I gain one day... it's all goood.. =)
Anyways, after deciding to head back, cj came to pick me up at the train station and we went grocery shopping @ HK Supermarket.. haha... it's exactly like T&T!! They have a lot of Japanese snacks and HK snacks and all that.. hehee went to get BBQ Pork and Siu Yuk.. yumyum!!

Forgot to update yesterday... hmm
Day 4 in Philly:
At 8:30am I woke up and set off to University of Pennsylvannia with Justin... hahaa oh man, UBC got majorly owned. UPenn is HUGE!!! And all their buildings look so classic... it feels like I stepped into a world 500 years ago... will post some pix later. We visited the Franklin Stadium of UPenn... it's huge... it's too bad we didn't get to watch an actual football game there. We stopped by to have lunch at a business building.. it's sooo nice there.. they have ESCALATORs and LCD monitors on all their computers!! Afterwards we went to the bookstore... and it's bigger than Chapters in Canada... omg... they have an entire section for UPENN souveniers and they have a cafe thing on the second floor... the textbook section only occupies a CORNER of the 2nd floor in the bookstore.. oh man... no WONDER UPenn is an ivy league...=) We walked all around UPenn campus for like 2 hours and still couldn't find their student lounge/building thing.. it's THAT big. Okie.. at around 12 we headed back to Jenkintown so Justin can set off to the airport.. I went back home and took a 4 hour nap. @_@ After that we went back to the teppanyaki place for the early bird special.. =) It was yummmyyy... mmMmmmm....
Day 5 in Philly...
A while after I woke up, cj got off class and drove us to ACME to buy groceries... and KING CRAB for tonite's dinner!! YUMYUM! heheee... after going home, cj had to study so I headed out to downtown Philly (MarketEast) by myself and walked around for a while... took lots of pictures...a lot of the buildings downtown are very classic looking too.. hehe I can't tell u wat kinda structure it is but they have LOTS of arches and pillars... and lots of tall buildings with lots of windows and they extend all the way down the street.. with very delicately decorated corners and stuff... will post pictures later... passed by the City Hall... it's sooo pretty outside.. too bad they only have tours on the weekend.. so didn't get to go in.....visited the Liberty Bell. They do security checks like the ones at the airport... they make you take off ur jacket and everything... just to see the liberty bell! Oh man.. haha after that I could've taken the tour in the Independence Hall, but there was a loooong wait and uhm.. I didn't want to wait so I left. Then I went to China town.. hmmm.. it's pretty "up dup". Kinda like CT in downtown Vancouver.. hmmm.... yeah not such a nice place. heh... after that I went home and cooked dinner with cj... he made King Crab while I made Pasta... =D It was sooooooooo gooooood... now I'm just super full....
1 more day left here... >< I wish time could just freeze.... freeze up so only this week would repeat.... over and over again...... I love living with cj so much... =(
Today is actually kinda a screwed up day for me..... stumbled across something that I didn't want to know about... it must be the worst day of my trip here in Philly...
Oh well... sometimes I really don't know wat I'm supposed to do. Be sensible and act generous (cuz no girl could actually BE generous about THAT I can assure you)... or follow my feelings and reveal the problem?? I wish so much that the problem never existed... or that I could actually be sensible/numb enough to ignore it, but most of the time... I feel the problem to the extent that it feels like a dagger's been stabbed in me........
oh yeah my EOSC midterm marks is out... 66% eh.... -_-;;

Day 3 in Philly...
Went to Willow Grove Park Mall with Justin today by train..thanks to Justin's excellent sense of direction.. we didn't get lost walking to the train station.. =P just got a little "detoured" hehee... when we got to the train station, we JUST missed the R2 train... so we waited for an HOUR for the next train. ><.... got train tickets... and neither of us could figure out what the numbers mean on the ticket ?_? Oh well!! On a side note.. there's a train station named "Roslyn"! hehee.. a train station named after moi! haha XD Well anyway.. we got to Willow Grove.. and saw these pedestrian lights that look exactly the same as car lights, except it's facing the sidewalk instead of the road @_@ those lights could easily get someone confused and killed man.. haha.. anyhow... we walked a looong way.. and finally found the mall... shopped around... got stuff from Hollister.. =) they have nice stuff there... and price is affordable! Unlike Abercrombie... "casual luxury" is their slogan... and yeah, I DO agree with the "luxury" part. heh... Got some hand-washing stuff from "Bath and Body Works". Both Hollister and BaBW are stores that can't be found in Canada... so I do believe I bought my money's worth! =P hehe.. plus.. zero tax here! Woohooo!! Then.. went to Sears and got cj a humidifier for Valentine's gift.. =) At around 7 cj came and picked me and Justin up to Outback steakhouse for dinner... the hostess there told us it's gonna be an hour wait, so we decided to go stop by PCO first. There I got ret-ed... found out my left eye is 0.75 and right eye is 2.00 near sighted.... increased by 0.25 from last time!!! >< And worse yet.. my cyl for L = 50, R = 150.. >< so bad!!! OH well.. then Justin got ret-ed.. and that took so long cuz he kept changing his mind.. haha.. so we went back to steakhouse... I got clam chowder, cj got caesar salad and Jus got potato soup... and we all ordered prime ribs... mMmm.. it was sooo good!!! By the end I dun think any of us could finish the mashies... we were so filled up by the steak already! Thanks JUSTIN for the dinner... =D kekeke... So we went back to PCO to finish examining Justin... came home and now here I am... I can't believe holidays are halfway over already. =(.... gotta enjoy the next few days to the fullest!!! >=D

Oh before the day's over, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
All I've been doing this Vday is do work on my laptop... ><
From 12am - 2am I was working on my 417 Assignment and from 3pm - 5pm I was working on 444... -_-;; Then I made dinner with Justin... haha he did most of the work tho, all I did was cook pasta, wash the mushrooms and pour cream of mushroom into the pot. =P
Well... that's okay.... =) As long as I'm with cj.. it's all gooood...
Plans tomorrow... go shopping with Jus after his interview??
Then steak dinner after cj's off school... and then visit PCO and we become guinea pigs and get ret-ed by cj... hmmm.. hehehee =P

終於到達目的地... @ 3:30am February 13th... =)
So where did I last left off...
5:20pm - after the plane 1 hour plane ride to Minneapolis (which is in the exact opposite direction of PA, btw), I took a 2 hour connection flight and headed towards PA (finally)....
10:30pm - arrived at PHL and I went to pick up my luggage... and... I couldn't find my luggage!!! >< Stood at the carousel for like 1 hour waiting for my luggage, but it was nowhere to be found.
11:30pm - Went to ask someone about it.. turns out my luggage is at ANOTHER carousel... -__-;; okie... so I picked up my luggage and called Dave's Best Limo to pick me up... they said they'll be there in 30 minutes.
1:00am - After 1 hour... still no sign of their arrival so I called them again and they said they'll be there in no time. Meanwhile my lower back and nerves were aching a lot from the plane rides...
2:00am - Another hour passed b4 the driver finally appeared.... yay.... so has my bad luck finally ended? Nope...
3:00am - I was the last person they dropped off (there were 2 other ppl) and when I got off the car... I realized that someone has mistaken my luggage for theirs and took it. -_____-;;...... good thing the driver was really really nice...
3:15am - the driver finally called and brought my luggage back... and here marks the end of my travelling story..............
I've been having such tough luck all weekend... >< First the cancellation of flight.. then the cold... then the lost of luggage...then the 2 hour wait... then the lost of luggage again... !!
And the more i think about it... aiy.. if I left on SUNDAY instead of Saturday I would've saved $120USD from hotel room, saved $25 by going to training, save myself from going thru all these connection flights and save myself a sore throat and headache cuz I'd probably have gotten more sleep friday night. ><
Hopefully the rest of the week will make up for all this. =)
Met some interesting people during my "adventure"... =)
There's this guy who was waiting for Dave's limo too with me and we started talking after waiting for a while... his name's Eric and he's a postman... =) haha I found that kinda interesting... and he loves his job too... "A job where you don't have to think and you get paid, what more can you ask for?" quote from him.... hehehee.. interesting guy. He's super nice though.... his situation is even worse than mine.. he has work the next morning @ 6am!! Ouch... well anyways, it was great meeting him he made me felt much less agitated after the 2 hour wait... there's something he said that I had no idea how to respond to... we started talking about Quebec and he's like "you know us Americans... we are dumb, we only know one language..." and I was like... "....no....."
Then there's the limo driver... Ben.?? Forgot his name.. >< well anyways... we started talking and he told me he used to be a headhunter for computer jobs until he got laid off 8 months ago... =( I feel so bad for him... cuz now he's working as a driver working like 16 hours a day?? Well anyway he's a really nice cheerful guy... so that's cool... =)
Overall.. it was an exhausting but very interesting + insightful trip for me. =)

............ current status: waiting for 5:21 flight (in 3 hours) to Philadelphia thru Minneapolis at Detroit.
This weekend, things took an unexpected turn and now here I am stuck in Detroit for one night and possibly more...
Oh boy... I have a sore throat and I'm beginning to feel really drowsy and sick as well.... not eating anything doesn't really help, but I don't really have the appetite to consume any food right now. @_@
My trip so far:
6:30am - Woke up after 2 hours of sleep
7:00am - Got on bus to Seattle
9:30am - Passing US Borders, got off bus to go thru US customs
11:00am - Arrived at Seattle airport, only to find out that the flight from DWC>PHL is cancelled. Went on the plane anyway, since I had no means of getting home from Seattle, either way I'd have to spend the night @ a hotel in Seattle or Detroit.
12:30pm - Got on plane to Detroit
7:30pm - (4:30 + 3 hour time difference) Arrived at DWC
8:00pm - Had dinner, checked into Westin hotel
*i think this hotel is actually the best part of my weekend.... it has really nice room, a huge bed, massage shower heads... I watched Naruto, One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist on TV, then watched Matrix... =)
2:00am - Went to bed with a sore throat
9:00am - Woke up to find out that my 10am flight to PHL is cancelled, went back to sleep
10:00am - Woke up to cancel Phil limo service, went back to sleep
11:00am - Woke up cuz my dad called to ask about the next flight, went back to sleep
12:00pm - Woke up cuz my dad called to ask about something? (don't even remember wat it is anymore), went back to sleep
1:00pm - Woke up again, got out to the check-in desk and found out I've been transferred to 5:20 flight to Minneapolis>Philidelphia..
2:00pm - Checked out of hotel

Such a horrible weekend... I wouldn't really mind the dragging suitcases around to places but the cold is really getting to me. All that wake up> sleep> wake up doesn't really help either...\_/
Weird/interesting things:
-US Customs make ppl take off their shoes... well I kinda knew but it felt funny actually seeing everyone removing their shoes and doing it myself
-Kept running into this GIRL... at Seattle... then at Detroit... and I've seen her b4 somewhere.. in VANCOUVER... I don't remember where tho... freaky
-During my flight from Seattle>Detroit... the lady sitting beside me with her son is Japanese... and she has the exact same hairstyle as Oyama and Chau sensei... haha I wonder if that's THE japanese shufu hairstyle nowadays...
-The kid was trying to count from 1 to 100... he went "... 37..38..39..80..81..82..83.." hehee.. just thought it was really cute of him.
Senior is attracting quite a bit of attention...
He kept getting compliments everywhere.. "look at that cute cow!" "ooo.. such a big cow!" "Oh that's a mighty big cow!" hehe.... and this one particularly funny incident:
At the US border, the security officer was checking the man in front of me but she saw Senior and said "that's a big cow!" and the guy in front of me thought she was talking about him. LOL..
This weekend, things took an unexpected turn and now here I am stuck in Detroit for one night and possibly more...
Oh boy... I have a sore throat and I'm beginning to feel really drowsy and sick as well.... not eating anything doesn't really help, but I don't really have the appetite to consume any food right now. @_@
My trip so far:
6:30am - Woke up after 2 hours of sleep
7:00am - Got on bus to Seattle
9:30am - Passing US Borders, got off bus to go thru US customs
11:00am - Arrived at Seattle airport, only to find out that the flight from DWC>PHL is cancelled. Went on the plane anyway, since I had no means of getting home from Seattle, either way I'd have to spend the night @ a hotel in Seattle or Detroit.
12:30pm - Got on plane to Detroit
7:30pm - (4:30 + 3 hour time difference) Arrived at DWC
8:00pm - Had dinner, checked into Westin hotel
*i think this hotel is actually the best part of my weekend.... it has really nice room, a huge bed, massage shower heads... I watched Naruto, One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist on TV, then watched Matrix... =)
2:00am - Went to bed with a sore throat
9:00am - Woke up to find out that my 10am flight to PHL is cancelled, went back to sleep
10:00am - Woke up to cancel Phil limo service, went back to sleep
11:00am - Woke up cuz my dad called to ask about the next flight, went back to sleep
12:00pm - Woke up cuz my dad called to ask about something? (don't even remember wat it is anymore), went back to sleep
1:00pm - Woke up again, got out to the check-in desk and found out I've been transferred to 5:20 flight to Minneapolis>Philidelphia..
2:00pm - Checked out of hotel

Finally my "hell week" is over... =)
Well.. not quite... still gotta endure 3 hour bus ride and 7 hour plane ride tomorrow... but at least the outcome would be worthy... =P
My midterms today... I think I did alright in Japn.. EOSC.. could've done better if I had more time to study and memorize more details, but oh well, wat's done is done.
Finally got to use the stupid 40% thing @ AE... our total bill came to ~$350 without 40% off... =P after 40% off it came to $200! hehee... great. (note: that's the total for wat 4 girls bought altogether)
After shopping, went to REC meeting... hmmm... I can't think of any good ideas at the moment aside from "free gym" lol. I think I am just trying to take advantage of the UBC REC... so I remained idea-less for the night.
Club was pretty fun... however, I was so out of it and couldn't lunge (still haven't recovered from bird pickup drill yet... -_-;;) so I was very unattentive during all the games.
Usual siu yeh @ Honolulu... good times as usual. =)
No baddy for me for the next 10 days...
Gotta start packing.... and try to get 1-2 hours of sleep b4 I leave. ><

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILSON!!
Oops.. one day late tim.. well hope you had an awesome birthday. =)
Went to Sing-K with the bday boy, Jenn, Braz, Teo and Jyh last night despite my crap load of work and studies...
It was goood.. =) hehhee lots of fun... singing is always good fun and a great stress reliever... by the end Jenn and I had to leave but we were stuck to the mic for a couple more songs b4 we could pull ourselves away. =)
Jenn had her Jay Chow and Leehom moments... hehee I would pick Jay Chow over Leehom any time... duno why tho ?_? hehe I love the girl duet song... =P hahaa
Wilson picked a Birthday "chuen siu" song... and it just kept going, and going, and going! haha we sang Happy Birthday in english, cantonese and mandarin like 5 times at least.. lol....
Went home and worked on 417... only to find out today that it's postponed to next Monday. @_@. At least I'm 80% done now....
Talking to Jenny a while ago I realized that in the PG group... it's always a HK-nese paired with a TW-nese... so I thought I was the abnormal one...
But then I look at Baddiholics... and it's ALL HK+HK, TW+TW (kinda.. Mandarin+Mandarin)!! (Cowz+me, Monki+Bearz, Weasel+Bonner, KT+Wendy, KSo+KSO, Ju+Gina)... haha.. I guess us Baddiholics are ALL abnormal then!! Well.. i'd prefer it if you call us SPECIAL. hahahaha....
Found a "water bubble" on my toe today after 19 sets of bird pickups on Saturday... @_@
Broke the bubble and now it hurts... ><

Went around today after class asking ppl if I can borrow their notes to photocopy... made up the lame excuse that "I lost my notebook"... cuz.. well.. frankly, I dun think they'd lend me their notes if I tell them I've either been skipping or falling asleep in every single class. -_-;;
Some girl agreed to lend me their notes next Monday.. but I doubt she'll remember at all....

What happened today was absolutely pathetic...
It sucks when someone asks you something, you tell them the answer then they go ahead and ask the TA the same thing, only to find out that the TA gives them the same answer.
It sucks when I say we should do something, they refuse, and 10 minutes later they all agree on doing that something they all refused to do 10 minutes ago.
I hate working with people sometimes......... >=(

Dinner last night at Circolo was great... =)
Loved the appetizer (Beef Carpaccio, although I think the seared Tuna was even better)... then the Prime Cut NY Steak... mmMMm soooo good!! The Zesty Creme Brulee was good too... hehee it was a very filling dinner!!
The restaurant itself is quite nice I thought... quite a nice atmosphere.. =) The waitress was a bit weird but the food was great.
It was nice seeing everyone dressed up.. =) On the contrary, I was wearing black skorts with elastic waist.. =P heheee.. Nice jokes but I've forgotten most of them by now.. ><
Went to Jim's to hangout after going to "wun gut" in 2 Starbucks.. heh... listened to weird voice clip thing teaching people swear words in Spanish (?)... then played some poker (with no $$)... in the end we all went all-in and I ended up winning everything!! muhahaha..... =) You see, I would never win if we were actually gambling money.
Stupidest Line of the nite: *after looking at Shao's cards*.. OHH... u would've gotten a straight with 2, 4, 5, 6, 7!!! ....... OH wait... okay, I can't count.
