The last few days have been very busy... busy, but enjoyable... =D

[26] Boxing Day...
Went crazy with mom and bro in Richmond Center... hee I actually woke up at 8:50 and got to RC by 9:30... things seem generally cheaper this year. Even GAP is cutting their price so much? I got a very nice wasabi colored pea-coat there for $180 $100 and a few other things from Esprit and Jacob... and then I got a pair of leather boots for $45... got my dad a watch.... and got 5 x $4 Ferrero Rocher (16 pcs box)!! XD..!! Shopped from 9:30am - 5:30pm... whoa... tiring, but fun. =)
After shopping.. went to dindin with my KaiGoh/KaiSis's family... it wasn't particularly fun but it was just funny watching the kai siblings argue against each other... and the ultimate

After dinner.. I drove to Safeway/LD/SDM/Mac's... to find that they're either closed or they don't sell Condensed Milk... >< Luckily Joseph called just at the right time and I "borrowed" his condensed milk... haha thanks Jo! Otherwise there wouldn't be truffles at all at the SS party!
Prepared for truffles and spent the rest of the night writing christmas cards... =) That went pretty well... haha I wrote the stupidest poem in Jyh+Gina's card u can ask him for it if u want... hehee and I actually looked "weasel" up on the web so I can draw it on Mark's card. LOL...

[27] Baddiholics SS...
Spent the first half of the afternoon making truffles... =P There were 4 toppings: Cocoa, Icing Sugar, Coconut or Peanut... mMm... so good.. peanut's the best! Then head out to Mark's... SS was great... =) I got a pair of doggie slippers from Kyole!! hahaa and good thing K So liked the POKER shirt I got him... hehe I can finally tell the story when I bought it...

Spent the whole afternoon calling up DGS ppl... and attempting to make Darryl's card but got shot down by SOMEBODY.. =P hehehe..
Then met up with Katie, Maggie, Rosemary and Cindy... haven't seen them for sooo long... kinda glad we're still in touch although honestly, our lives have diverted from each others' so much that it'd probably only be good to see each other once in a looong while just to catch up. =P Haha sounds so mean.. but...sadly, I don't think there's much in common between me and this group of friends... ><
Anyhow... after that I went baddying @ C2... =) Sooooo fun! hehee except I kinda killed both knees and my back as well... played ALL DOUBLES games today! =D it was funn!! hehee... in particular, me+Bearsch vs Braz+Steven and me+Cowz vs Kyole+Wilson.. those 2 games were fun!!! heheee... too bad I run out of breath like SUPER quickly these days... -_-;; I really should go jogging. *sigh*...
After that went to E-Yup... played Puzzle Bubble on KSo's PSP for a while... everyone's becoming more and more like Wilson.. Kyole starting to 自拍, and me starting to think of songs whenever I hear words associated to the lyrics! >< haha.. funny...

Had lunch with cj @ Angel Cake Cafe on Christmas Day... =) hehee UR the "HUCOWBEI"!! heheee lunch was... very very enjoyable.. =D
After that I picked up Mel and Winz and went to watch "Memoirs of a Geisha"... I like that movie a lot... =) Zhang Zhi Yi is sooo petite and pretty and the kid who was acting the younger Sayuri is soooo cute too!!! The "pale face + red lips" wasn't half as bad as people put it.... and most important of all: "CRUSHER" is in the movie!! hahaha... and he wasn't one of those perverted guys who were bidding for Sayuri's virginity!! Hehehee I like him a lot.... the movie has a great ending (at least I think so).. =) So I'll rate it a 9/10... the only bad thing was the detail they neglected to explain about the burnt house.... just HOW can a house not burn down completely in that kinda fire when there were no firetrucks...?? and also... Hatsumomo (Gong Li) can BARELY pass as a japanese with big built, but Michelle Yang does not in any way look like a Japanese at all.. haha... and funny thought suggested by Mel.. it would be sooo funny if it was Dr. Crab who showed up in the end...

Dinner with family after...
Had Lobster tail + Fettuccine + Steak... unfortunately the stupid butcher guy at Safeway told my dad to add in the ENTIRE seasoning package for the beef... causing it to be WAAAY too salty... >< I had to eat one little piece of beef combined with a big mouthful of veggies to balance the saltiness out.
Nonetheless.. it was good dinner... =)

Now... getting ready for Boxing Day Shopping w/ Mom + Bro tomorrow! hehehe...

But, at least I know which ones are wrong for sure... so when a question is asked, it's better to give me MC than an open-ended one... I am at a loss of words to explain what is in my head... hah...

Whoa I don't think I've ever scored as low on a final as I just did on my 426.... 55%?? Hmmm... haha and after the final I was so confident I got at least 60% too. Damn harsh marking schemes.... luckily this is more of a project based course... Now I just gotta wait till he marks my 25% worth project. -_-;; And.. on a side note... I don't regret skipping all those classes for 2 months cuz now I know even if I went, I'd probably get the same score on my final.

Watched C2 tourney finals today...
Mens doubles final with Ronne + Peter against Alvin + Toby was soooo good.. hahaha waaay better than JU final. =P Ronne is CRAZY fast in front... man he was literally a human wall.. except.. this wall rebounds the birdie twice as fast back to you. And Peter DOES have a crazy smash... haha his smash is SOOO hard. Alvin and Toby lost in 2 sets 10 and 11... haha sooo crazy...
After that went to eat @ EYup w/ Wilson, KSo, Joseph, Braz, Joanne... sorry for making u guys wait for me eat that meal... haha but I was REALLY hungry. =P
After that... Braz, Teo and Joanne came over and mj-ed a bit.... then chatted for the rest of the night. Hmm... interesting chat.. hahaha Braz... always knows a lot about everyone... kinda surprised by how much he knows sometimes... haha... Braz is very information-loaded.

Actually it wasn't too bad, thanks to the group studying sessions that I was engaged in with David and Andrew on Wed and Thurs.. =) Helped me understand so many things.
I usually think that group study is the most time consuming and time wasting idea but then well... now I realize that it is actually useful when you haven't been to the lectures for 2 months. =P

And in my opinion... a good prof plays a very important role in student motivation and encouragement... and she obviously didn't do a very good job at it. Too bad I skipped the teacher eval...

There is one thing I want to get my dad although I know he won't appreciate/use it at all...

Woke up at 8am to go to 8:30am final... @_@ haha brain was awake on 4.5 hours of sleep (it wouldn't be if I had 8 hours instead... weird eh). Finished final @ 11am... got assignment back and realized the TA gave ZERO marks for the part I did... I got angry... went to complain to the TA... showed it to him that it works at the lab (it just didn't work cuz he forgot to compile a whole friggin directory)... got my marks back (and darm hay)...
Now... out to lunch... then back home and crash.. @_@

Quick weekend recap:

Friday night VRC was quite fun... played sooo many mixed games with Wilson, and got hit by him (he's my partner) twice!! But then I took the revenge on Bowie and Hansen though (accidentally).. =P Went to Pho after w/ Wilson, Teo, Jeff and Albert cuz I was soooo hungry... and on the way home I got lost (again) and almost drove Albert to Burnaby. haha...

Saturday... private with Ronne alone... =( so lonely without Jenn... should've trained 1 hour instead of half... 30 minutes is too short! (but in a way, I avoided Ronne's warm up running drill cuz I'm only doing a 30 minute lesson =P) but the drills were fun... they were all killing drills at the net... =) me like...
Group... before we even started, I got hit by KSo 3 times... once he drove the bird at my jaw... once he cleared it and somehow I missed it and it hit my head.... and third time.. I don't even remember. hahaa I am on a getting-hit streak... anyway, I pulled my ab-muscle (what? do I even have any?) after the WARM-UP drill... so whenever I get into ready-clear position/ jump / try to use any strength to clear/smash it twitches and hurts... -_-;; by the end of training I was dead tired... X_X... faked Crystal and Edwin out though, cuz I attempted to jump at the net but ended up doing a tip-toe (cuz I ran out of energy) instead... LOL. Went to Joseph's highly recommended Shanghai food place for dindin... it was pretty good.. I think I've been there b4 but I dun remember when?? Good food for cheap price too! Good dinner... =) Oh yah... stupid teo and Jeff wrote on my car windows.... you guys are washing my car next time you do that.... some boys are soooo stupid. After dinner... went to Mark's for Gamecube but ended up chatting most of the time... about hockey(?) was too tired to remember... haha I only remember getting killed in Mario Tennis with Mark playing 2 Ace players... cuz I suck... hahaha... oh well.

On a side note... what Kyole saw about someone's mom... if she were MY mom... I'd be sooooooo mad.... What makes parents think they have access to anything that belongs to their children? soooooo wrong....

I'm dropping my Math 302 next term.... wheeeee!!!

such a crappy schedule now even tho I got all the courses I wanted... jee I'm never satisfied. haha I vaguely remember myself doing an entry on how I am easily satisfied.... hahaha well I guess either I was wrong then or I am wrong right now. =P

Whoa I've never felt so indifferent/unstressed about a final before...
I've compiled my notes and all that but I can't get myself to memorize anything... I'm just staring into my notes and... er... thinking about going to bed. @_@.
I hope this feeling doesn't persist, because I want to do well in my other finals even though I currently do not care about this one.... ><
The night before cramming used to work cuz I always panic before my final... but right now... I'm not panicking... at all... -_-;;
I wonder if it's cuz I calculated all the marks I need to get A- for all my courses... I need 76% on this one to get an A-. 76% sounds quite achievable... right?

Haven't had such a loooong good chat on the phone with my best buddy since I left HK.... ahh... I miss those times when we talked and talked till we fell asleep... =) Talked about sooo many things... once we start talking we couldn't stop until her mom stopped us... well.. it IS long-d afterall.. haha... Got some more insights and advices... haha very interesting "market value" and "future assets" talk... LOL... you ARE being very realistic but at the same time, there's no way not to be? Romance is worth very little in this realistic world (!?). Anywho... I will keep your words in mind and give it some thought AFTER my finals... can't wait till you call me after 21st... =D

Today... I will start studying like crazy for finals..
and on Monday Dec 12th my final (crazy cramming) period will commence....
To tell the truth, I'd be much more relieved if it was Dec 17th today... cuz my most dreaded 426 would be over... >=(

Went to see the advisor today for CPSC 444... our meeting ended in less than 5 minutes and the "advice" that I got was "email the prof, she'll probably let you in..." she could've told me that in the email... but no, she made me go all the way to UBC for that.... >< If I'm taking 444 next term.. hmm.. that means I'll have to move my 202 from 11am -> 10am... 0_0....Oh well.. at least that stupid advisor meeting forced me to wake up at 10:30... @_@ only had 5 hours of sleep but waking up before 12 still feels good.
Called Mel and went to visit Oyama sensei... =) Told her about my job in Japan.... chat for a bit... sensei is growing old... planning retirement in 5 years... and then taking Theology in Reagent College? Maybe if I go back for a master's degree I'll see her there...
After meeting with sensei... went to lunch with Mel @ Cute Pearl. It was one looong lunch... hahah... so many weird jokes though... like.. I have a serious insufficiency in vocabulary knowledge.. haha I kept asking Mel (no less than 10 times) "wat does THAT mean? wat's THAT? huh? Wat's a _____?"... and...
Mel: It's a nun! or.. an angel...
Me: Look! It's doing a split! ahhh!!!!

1. Confrontations... hahaha I always find myself confronting people, just cuz I can't stand the way things are... having this impatient personality, I like to have a result right away. Well for me... they're difficult partly cuz I don't know what kind of response/consequence I'm gonna get from the confrontation... and also partly... cuz I don't know whether I am making the right choice at the moment I confront? Once I confront someone and have things set.... then there is no way to go back and change what I said....
2. Rejections... of course they're painful... any kind of rejection hurts my feeling and self esteem.. =P haha... but gotta live with them and move on anyway... they're painful cuz it's when you want something so bad but you can't have it ... just like when ur at the net, a "cha siu" comes and u kill the bird into the net and the bird gets rejected by the tape.... OUCH... thus the head grabbing and the wailing... u see, I experience these kind of rejections regularly. hahaha and I don't handle them so well...
3. Misdirections.... they're confusing cuz ur presented with CHOICES... haha and like wat I said to Jenn during training one day "choices are BAD!! If there was only one way to bend our wrist, then it would make cross nets so much easier"... hahahhaa... and to quote Braz.. "the good choice might not be the right choice".... so they're probably confusing cuz u aren't sure on which choice to bet on...
Somehow this just turned into a mo lay tau response.. hahaha but... well watever it is that ur troubled by, Bearsch.. hope it will be settled soon.

It's not our problem.... so we shouldn't be bothered by it...

Had a looooong chat with Bearsch after vrc today.. till 3:30am..
We would've probably went on chatting but we got freaked out cuz we kept hearing wood creaking but we didn't see anyone there.. hmmm.. scary..
Our chat revolved around 2 things... relationships and badminton.. it's funny how we think SO alike in many ways.. the way we treat people who we like and people who like us... the way we think... it's great chatting with someone who knows exactly how I feel. haha... anyways... thanks BEarsch for the chat... and we'll continue some other day... hahahaha.... =P No worries, we'll always have stuff keep our chat going on for hours and hours.... hahahaa...

I conclude that I am someone who FORGETS but doesn't FORGIVE.
haha FORGIVE and FORGET.. u'd hope that it comes in a pair... but no... forgetting is easy for me but forgiving.... depends on what the impact was and what apology I received? If there wasn't any apology then definitely... you are not gonna be forgiven until you offer a decent one. Too harsh?? Yeah I guess so... but I'd think that if you've done something wrong, an apology is the least you can offer. No matter how hard it is for me... I always try to apologize when I think I've done something wrong... then why can't you?

Duno if that was wat caused my dream last night.. haha dreamt I was on the bus with Kyole and Bearz... and then I got off early but was bothered by some gangster type students.... and I was really troubled...and when I was planning to call someone I realized I left my cellphone on the bus. -_-;; so I was panicking and when I turned around, I saw Kyole and Bearz there, and they said "oh, you didn't look like you were feelin so well just now so we figured we'd come and check up on you"... =) haha thanks for saving me in my dreams Kyole and Bearsch.....

I feel I've been so lucky in many endeavours ever since I was little... from Grade 3 童軍 where I was one of the three girls who were drawn out of 60 students to join the girl guides... till now.... Although I can't say that all things I accomplished had been completely based on luck... but luck definitely played a big factor in my life.... I would totally agree to the phrase 傻人有傻福... I'm a living example? hahaha... =)
Anyways... I feel I am the luckiest girl.... and I can be nothing but thankful.... for the life I am living and the people I have in my life... >=D

Got a sudden rush of inspiration for my jap 300 essay.. it's gonna be an interesting one (hopefully).. =)
Got overly excited over Co-op Japan...
now experiencing stomach pain in consequence... -_-;; I didn't know that over excitement causes stomach pain too.. ><

First of all..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAZ...

Training today was soooo tiring... cuz everyone did the same drills so it was especially tough on the doubles group who usually only do doubles drills... but I like it this way better... I like training a bit of both so I get.. hmm.. more of a workout? I was sooo tired after the half court + push up drill... wasn't the drill that killed me it was the pushups.. >< haha can u believe that after like 5 years of training I still can't do proper pushups OR situps? LOL haha... no abs at all.. -_-;; In all the drills after that one I had to try to hard to lift my arms or move my legs... and ab muscle were sore too..
During the last driving drill... there was a rally where I went "DIE JENN, DIE!" and accidentally smashed the bird at on her shoulder... hahaha.. sorry Jenn!! =P didn't mean it... but it was sooo funny.... and Jenn and her "can I call you vin... as in Vin Diesel" joke.. hahahaha..
Games afterwards.... I felt like I was running all over the court with no footworks at all trying to cover Auntie Ida when I played with her againt Elisha and Jessy.. haha ended up losing 11-15? Not that bad... hahaha..
Second game mixed... kinda.. easy game.. with KSo vs Jeff + Auntie Ida... but good cuz I got to practice wat I learnt in private. =)
Third game.. GIRLS doubles.. with TEO against elisha and Jessy.. LOL.... Jenn's back was hurting a lot so she couldn't play so Teo subbed in... "Just hit the BIG PINK THING over there.." hahahaha... it was a funny game...
Feet were soooo sore cuz I left my insoles in Wilson's shoes when I was trying them on friday night... -_-;; haha such tiring training but... it was gooood... felt good to be sooo sore all over again. hehe...

Braz' bday dinner after @ HKYK... sooo surprised cuz Shao, Mel and Winz ended up having dinner there as well.. hahaha Jenn and I were going back and forth btwn 2 tables... haha "whenever we're waiting for water to boil in one table, we'll eat over at the other table.. then when we pay the bill, we'll go 'we're paying on the other table' to both tables.." LOL perfect plan. haha The food was good.. got very full afterwards.... drew for Secret Santa but then we changed the date so need to redraw cuz we need to add KSo back in the draw... haha results of first draw was kinda funny though... Mark: "who's this? I don't know this person!" and that person turned out to be "ROZ" -_-;; hahaha... I picked a bad time to do the drawing... sorry guys... -_-;; Just thought it'd be a good time cuz everyone was there... now I feel bad for not inviting Bettz and Justin (but NOT a certain somebody else who kept insisting even though I was clearly avoiding to answer that person)... and then Braz just had to rub it in by saying "HA? 你無請佢呀? 乜你0甘衰0架!" dude u knew who was in the guest list well before hand... Oh well. Went for Tofufa dessert afterwards.. mMMm.. it was sooo yummy.. couldn't stop adding brown sugar.. heh. And then Sing K @ Dook Ga... for 3 hours... haha recorded a "one and only" video just for KSo... LOL... and Wilson and Keung Goh singing and dancing to Leslie's "Monica".. hahahaa... funny stuff....
Went home and was exhausted already....

I don't like ppl who are 厚面皮... getting their way by putting people on the spot...
Usually I would give in to most people but then there are just SOME people whose feelings I don't give a damn about... well you must've done something to leave me with such a bad impression in the first place anyway.
call me inconsiderate or selfish or watever....

It SUCKED..but at least I got all my work done... *sigh* and the payoff was lack of sleep.. and in consequence.. "bao chong". -_-;;
Finally got to play some baddy today.. after 5 days of recluse from baddy.. heh.. it felt good!! Soo fun playing 1vs2 halfcourt... =) Wilson should switch shoes with me.. haha mine fits him and his fits me.. hmmm.. And Veronica sprained her ankle.. so take care la.
After that.. got into a few interesting conversations with some peeps... hmm... haha dinner tomorrow is gonna be interesting.

Once again, I have a strong dislike for people who are 騎牛搵馬.... hmmmm.. good luck to those who has to deal with this kind of people.
