World Juniors final today...
Got there a bit late so I missed most of the girls' doubles match... heard it wasn't too exciting from Delen anyways.. China vs China... 2 sets...
Then it was the girls' singles match... Taipei's Shao Chieh Cheung beat China's Lan Lu... 2 sets... heh.. The Taipei girl won, she looks so YING.... she's so short compared to the chinese, but she was soooo much quicker on her feet... she's 18(?) and apparently she came 5th in Olympics... heh crazy!! I like her.... hehe she looks cool.
After that it was the men's singles match... 3 sets... Delen was supporting WeiJie Gong while I was supporting Jin Chen.. hehe it was sooo close and so exciting. We thought it looked like a 足球小將 comic.. heh 戴志偉 (WJ Gong) vs 小志強 (J Chen)... and Chen Jin ended up winning.. =D hehe I like him too!! He's so calm and composed all the time. Lots of diving in this game.... and lots of crazy crosscourt smashes....during the middle of the game, the umpire gave WJ Gong a yellow card... hahaa I've never seen that happen before....
Mens' Doubles... Malaysia vs Korea... heh it was kinda funny cuz the first set Malaysia beat Korea by a lot and second set Korea beat Malaysia by a lot so I was joking with Delen maybe in btwn the first and second match, Korea's coach came and told them "look, that guy is a leftie" and they're like "oohh!!!" that's why they did so much better in the second set. lol.. haha... it was an exciting game... with all the ppl yelling behind us.. hehe Malaysia beat Korea in a close 3rd set.. the Malaysian team was much better in attacking I thought...
Last but not least, the mixed doubles match was China vs Indonesia... China won.. but I thought the girl who played today wasn't as good as the girl who played mixed at the team tournament... and according to Darryl, the Indonesian girl twisted her ankle the night before so.. =( sucks to be her.... she was jump smashing all around the place... haha she played like a man!! It was too bad she had an injury....
So China ended up bringing home 3 trophies, Taipei and Malaysia one trophy each and Korea only ended up with 2nd and 3rd medals...
And World Juniors is finally over.......totally worth the $50 I spent on it. =)
I've seen and learnt so much these few days.....
hopefully it will make me both emotionally and intellectually stronger!

I'm tired and I feel that I am getting sick...

That is pretty good, considering that i haven't visited the dentist for 2 years.. =p

She told me I'm brushing my teeth too hard, and that I should floss...
arr.... and my gums are sore now... after she cleaned the right half..
need to go back for another appointment to get my left half cleaned! ><...

Worlds' Juniors..
Didn't get to watch much girls' doubles...
I did see a team of Canada girls lose to a team of Taipei girls though..
I thought they missed most of the shots themselves...
Oh well, Taipei seemed to be too strong for them (even tho they went into 3rd set)...
Watched a few boys' doubles matches...
Most of the teams were paired so that there's a strong team and a weak team so the matches weren't too exciting..
I watched Richard liang + Alex Pang play against an indonesian team.. hehee I thought they actually had a chance, if Alex did better... =p I guess he's too much of a singles player...he missed a lot of shots...
Anyhow... I saw a Russian player there who looked a LOT like TOBY... hehee... the features.. sooo alike!!
China and Taipei teams are amazingly fast..... sooo swift..........
hehe I'm looking forward to the finals.. too bad I can't go watch the semi's! ><
Watching them play made me sooo wanna play... hehee

Had such a fabulous weekend I wish it never ended... hehe
let's rewind time back to saturday and start all over again...

Went to watch Worlds Team final today with cj today...
China against Korea!! And they beat them 3-0....
I was there for the doubles games, but I didn't get to see any!! =(
Nonetheless, those were still some pretty crazy and exciting games I watched.
They started off with mixed doubles... China's mixed doubles girl is SO good... she reads the play almost perfectly and she places the birdie so nicely... whereas the Korean girl seemed like she didn't know what she was doing... haha...
Then onto Girls' Singles... Korea's player has amazing slice shots... and China's player looked a lot like Alice Lee. hahaha... I thought skill wise the Koreans were better... but then China was much more consistent...
Then finally, Boy's singles... both players exhibited tremendous efforts... China's player was a CRAZY smasher... especially from his backhand corner... down the line every single time! Sooo crazy... Korea's player had unbelievable cross nets... soooo consistent...... holy cow....... we agreed that Korea lost because he wasn't aggressive enough... and his defence is not as good as the chinese!
So that's my little review for the team finals.. heh...
Might go watch some doubles matches next week if I can.. hmmm...

After that, I had hotpot (again) @ cj's place.. hehe
mMmm.. hotpot.. soooo good... but I'm so "hot air" now... kept biting my gums today.. >< heh...

Something worthy to blog about that I just remembered:
Around a month ago, i finally had my first taste of a "lucid dream".
I was talking to someone and I said "I can fly!" and they're like "no u can't!" and I was like "of course I can! Cuz I'm in a dream!... wait.. I'M IN A DREAM!! I can FLY!" and then I started flying around.. but not long after, I got sucked back into the dream... I tried flapping my arms but couldn't fly again.
It will probably take me a long time before I master the skill of lucid dreaming...

I've been waiting for...
6 days and counting....
I'd hate it when the time comes but it'd be even worse if it doesn't....
I'll blame my recent moodiness on it..
ahh.. please relieve me!!!

Went to Tad's today to get Victor's racket since I get VRC discount (15% off!)..
he ended up getting an Armortec 500...
Apparently, they have double mesh or something especially on the top curve of the racket so they should be much more durable and less easy to break.
maybe Cowz or Kyole can consider the racket... given the number of rackets they've broke... this one's only $160 WITH stringing!

Finally finished my huge wave of big assignments and midterms,
and when I was done, I felt so NOT tired!!! =D
I'm in an elated mood because my jap midterm was so YASUI! I guessed two questions (not sure if it was ~naikotodewanai or ~naidewanai) and I guessed both of them RIGHT!!
Then there was my 320 midterms... again.. I found it easy compared to last year's midterm!! I actually understood all of the questions... 2 of them I guessed (again), and I guessed both of the RIGHT!!! Muhahaha...
You know, according to my biorhythm (the 3 sine curves thing), my intellectual was very close to +100% today!!! No wonder I felt so good @ my midterms!! However, my emotional was close to -100%... /=(

Baddy club was maa maa desu today...
Surprisingly large amount of people showed up @ the skill clinic, so we had to tell people off! Heheh.. teaching drop shots.. I would say that's one of my specialities, but teaching other people is not quite as easy as doing it myself. -_-;;
After the clinic I only played 2 games... both with plastic birdies.. =( hurt my arm so much everytime I clear... the only fun game I played was with Shao vs KSo and Jenz.. hehee haven't played with Shao and Jenz for sooo long.... play more next time... with feather birdies!
Met Derek @ club... guy whom I knew looong time ago from VRC.. I remember he was tiny back then.. but... I guess he grew. hehee...
A mysterious lady with indian accent called me today looking for "Roz" (or Raj?).. told me she's from Winniepeg, and that it's "kind of an emergency" and that I should "call her in 5 minutes"..... kinda scary... hehe called back later and the line was busy... so.... according to Shao & Jenz interpretation, she was executed? heh...
I find that I got more stressed out after baddy club... -_-;;
Went to Hugo after... sooooo many sick jokes by Wilson and Vincent again... not sitting near them next time!!! Haha funny to listen in tho... and there was Simba Junior.. hehee.. and the "pretty water leak" on the ceiling... hehe... 8 people is about right... last week there were too many people!

One question I did it completely correct... but I only got 7/10... cuz I didn't provide an explanation for what I was doing...wth? Is it not obvious enough? How else would I have concluded the answer, had I not knew what I was doing....

C1 B Tourney results:
U23 doubles: 2nd..
Beat Malisa and Alice but lost to Phyllis and Powin! *sigh* that was a dumb loss... we went into 3rd set setting and lost 15-17.....
Reasons for the loss?
1) Incompetency... ? (either we got worse or they got better)
2) Low EQ and poor temper management (anger triggered by annoying parents calling lines for their child even though they should know the rules very well)
3) Fatigue (Jenn and I played a 1 hour 3 setter against Mal and Alice right before this game)
next time... we MUST beat them... grrrr......let's go Jenn and Delen!

U23 mixed: 1st!
The deciding game was the one against Kenny and Malisa... again.. we went into 3 sets setting.. this time with us winning 17-15....
Wilson had crazy slice shots today... =) since they were playing doubles form, I didn't get to touch the bird much.. =p so... Good job, Wilsilon!
The other pool went into a 3 way tie.. haha that's funny.. never thought that would actually happen....

I ended up getting: 1 medal and a $10 coupon @ Flex... that + 15sets of games is wat I got for a $30 tourney.. it's well worth it! =D

Spent a relaxing Saturday with cj,

and now i gotta pay the price for slacking...
Sometimes I really question the need for high marks... unless I want to go into grad studies, I will probably be alright just by completing the degree...?

Wilson kept making sick jokes again... and KSo saying "Wun sun? Teo....(vincent teo)" hehe... Still prefer NY.. >< need to find new place to eat!!

Friday:
Arrived at Brentwood Bay and watched the guys play singles.. haha Reid beat Bryan... such surprising results. Anyhow... after their singles, we drove around for so long looking for food and ended up cooking KD and Campbell's.. mMm.. hehe... the guys took the nice living room upstairs and made all the girls sleep in the basement!! Grr... such "gentlemen"... heh... it's funny how the girls and boys are always separated in this trip.. I think it'll be more fun if we're all mixed up like the Calgary trip! Oh well... at least us girls got to have some interesting talks at night. hehe... guy bashing? hahaha....that's wat they get for making us sleep in the basement! hehe...

Saturday:
Played a total of 7 sets of doubles and 8 sets of mixed doubles = 15 sets! hehe... completely exhausted but the tourney was well worth it. =) Jenn and I beat Lindy and Terren, but lost to Casey+Francesca and Euphelia+witch lady terribly... need to work on back court.. especially when people push birdies to my backhand... >< sooo vulnerable! Mixed wise... played Sumida and his wife again, this time taking the first set to setting and ended up losing 15-17, 4-15... compared to last time I believe we improved quite a bit... hehe at least that's wat I felt. Second game against Mark and Allison... such an exciting game!! hahaa I was completely focused in the game and it felt soooo good... wish I can do that every game... =) Third game against Brian and Winnie.. haha sooo tired by the time I played them.. -_-;; But nonetheless..still had a fun game!! =D After tourney, went to White Spot for dinner.. mMm.. Fetteccuni Carbonara was sooo good.. After that, went home and UNOed for the longest time.. hehehe in the end I think Winnie was 1st, I was 2nd, Brian was 3rd and Bearz came in 4th! hahaha sooo fun! Nestor and Wilson got sooo pissed they started dissing Brian.. haha.. and Nestor lost his voice after yelling so much that night. Phil was very tired and slow... haha but he got more awake the later it got! Basically it was a night of lots and lots of fun.. =D hehe... Jenn caught a video of Wilson singing "yat ahh yip... hing jau hui~"

Sunday:
Woke up at 11 and cleaned the house...hehe then we had Macdonalds for lunch and caught the 3pm ferry... UNOed on the ferry again.. hehe Wilson and Nestor were doing girly poses... sooo funny... everyone was quite tired already... Nestor, Delen, Jenn and I all fell asleep in K So's car on the way home... thanks Brian and K So for driving us the whole trip.. =D And lots of thanks to Darryl.. =)

Me: nooo.. stop this "warrior" thing! hahaha...

Looking forward to the next tourney trip (duno when that will be.. heh) =)

Back from Victoria...
This trip was definitely very rewarding.. =)
For the least, I finally learnt how to focus in games... hehe I was like super focused during my mixed game against that tall guy... hehe
I think I did my best... so even if I lost, I have no regrets.
