I realized that having things planned really pushes me to do stuff..
BUT then again... that only applies when I am motivated to do them.
Well.. I was supposed to finish 220 assignment last night...
but I got close... I'm 3/4 done! Instead, I finished the 216 lab...
Afterall, I still have 2.5 hours tomorrow before badminton with nothing to do,
so 220 assignment can wait. hahaha....
On the other hand.. I should get the club poster done... hmm..
seems like everyone wants the funny one, so funny one it is. =)

this is when I regret my english is not good enuf... cuz I had no idea wat tactful OR diplomatic meant.
And she didn't really help when i asked her to clarify it, but I didn't wanna admit that I didn't kno wat they meant either. -_-;; hahaa so I ended up making up some stuff... and that SORTA fit with wat I was asked... hmm... is saying
"That idea is great!! But... due to time constraints, we might as well stay on the safer side.."
tactful and diplomatic? haha well.. that's the best I can do anyway.
It seems hard for me to not inject strong emotions into my expressions when I am doubted...
in other words... I hold strong feelings for my own opinions and get really worked up when they are challenged. hahaha...
need to change this bad habit......

Wow... everyone's gone/away @ 12:30AM
Is it only me who's still addicted to ICQ?
hehee.. well.. I WAS writing cover letters...
and I WAS reviewing my co-op stuff...=p
And now I'm doing wrist curls... =)
Oh no.. I have a blister (hei jum) on my third finger...
that was from badminton on monday.. heheee...
But that was sooo fun!
Driving with cj.. hehee I love the netkill drill.. hahaa and cj never dies.. so crazy!! hehee
Practiced a bit of the straight slicing.. =) can sorta do it now but still not very confident.. need more practice. hehee
Sucks.. haven't played in SRC for the looongest time already...
miss those summer days when all I did was badminton!! hehee...
Life right now isn't all bad, tho... =D hehee

My moment of stupidity today:
This morning when I was walking to LSK, I saw this guy whose back looked SOOO much like Peterson.. so I said "Hey" and the guy turned over and said "Hey", but the thing is, he's not Peterson.. -_-;; haha.. so I just had a weird look, said "sorry" and then walked in the door... hahaha...
not as funny as see gung's "friend shaking" thing tho.. hahahaa....
Mock interview went pretty well.. =)
Got a lot of insights to wat I should do/say...
But I also learned abt some frightening stats...
there are around 150 students looking for co-op jobs..
only 15 or so have been placed in round 1...
around 10 of them have extended work placement..
so there's a total of 125 students still lookin for jobs......
there aren't 125 job postings on Placepro..
that means not everyone will be placed...........
and .. uh.. yea.. let's just say..
the chances of getting a job is quite low..!?
BUT.... if there are jobs then there'll be chances... =)
Just gotta do wat I gotta do.
ooo.. if I were my 216 prof I'd be pissed at myself... haha
I walked into class like 15 mins late today...
(but that wasn't my fault!! -_-;; it's cuz the stupid cook @ Trek Express took soo freakin long to make the cheung fun...... the cafeteria lady got so mad too)
and then I started eating my cheung funs.. mMm.. good food...
and after eating... I couldn't help but start dozing off....
So yea... I go to class late, eat, sleep, and then wake up when class ends.

Weather getting sooo breezy...and chilly...
Too bad they switched geog profs so no more weather forecasting..
I can't showoff with super technical terms anymore.. hahaa
but yea... so windy these days...
I recall the windest day I've ever seen was last year in Japan...
the wind there was like 3 times stronger than UBC winds...
you REALLY feel like u'll get blown off ur feet.... hehee
I accidentally dropped a book and it flew at like 15km/hr towards the road... got stuck btw some bike wheels, and the wind was so strong it tore the front cover off............. (and the front cover is the attached kind.. not the book cover kind)
That was.......... cool experience, altho experiencing it just once in a lifetime would be enough. hahaa
Anyhow... windy days means.. wherever u go you get this swirl of leaves around you and it seems like you are making a huge entrance to some important scene...... hehee....... =)
Errmm... I guess I am still quite immature in my thoughts but i'd rather consider that as.. imaginative =p

oops... was too tired to update yesterday...
Been really sleepy all the time these days...
even tho I get 7 hours of sleep i still feel tired, but when I get like 10 hours I feel even more sleepy...
-_-;; so annoying.... need to adjust sleeping habits...
anyways... yesterday was a GOOD day... =)
First of all.. training with Windelen in the morning.. hehee good stuff..
things I learnt:
-straight slicing from the corner and crossing the slice
(kept hitting the rim after a while... hmm... need better timing)
-drive from the side and then killing it
-rotation w/ Windelen
-Serve and dumping and killing the dump
After that.... went to shop for stuff with Windelen...
got soooo tempted by snacks and junkfood... -_-;; haha can't resist.
Then.. to VRC to watch Jack Underhill... hehee
watched soo many exciting matches..
at one point there were 4 good matches going on at the same time I was so "muk bat ha kup"... haha
but yea... Men's Doubles playing at 12:30.. hmmm... wanna go watch.. but.. project.. -_-;;
Anyways.. good job Kyl bros for beating Jeremy and Nestor.. hehee
VRC is sooo cold.. but nobody dared turn on the heater cuz the players would get really hot...
But good thing cj was wearing hoodie so I could warm my hands jek. hehee =D thanks cj..
Womens doubles... not half as exciting to watch as mens doubles...aw...
But Lee-Anna and Aki smashes like CRAZY... and they look like they're not using much strength..
whoa.. a nice preview for who we're gonna be playing next week in Mark's tourney.. haha
but... gets me so excited... hehee huet muck fai tung!!!!
In a tournament environment there's so much tension.. and excitement... and anticipation.. and all that...
Watching other ppl play makes me wanna play..... gogogogogooooooOO!!!!

Not thinking straight... for many times i could've done better shots but instead I just killed it into the net. -_-;;
the ONLY time it felt good was during this one shot when I knew exactly wat I was doing, where Windelen was gonna hit it then I killed it.. muhahaha......
one shot out of like 200+ shots in 5 games... -_-;; need to raise that percentage. hahahaha
Still need to learn more abt networking.... hmm gotta remind Jason to send me networking glossary.

I have the whole freakin day to work on 216.. better get it done.. *sigh*

and seeing them smile makes me happy too.

I didn't do too bad in any questions but I kept losing little marks and ended up losing quite a lot of marks.. haha
the last question was basically impossible.. -_-;; out of all the papers I peeked at, the most marks anyone got was a 2/7...
and then there's also the harsh markin of the TA...not givin enuf part marks. hehe...
But.. enuf complaints... I am slightly comforted when I saw the marks of other papers left on the table.. mostly 18, 13.5, 15, 14... occasionally 23, 25... rarely.. 35... 35.5...
I'm ignoring the fact that those papers probably belong to those who never show up to class (that's why they never came to pick up their midterms) and that the smart ones with good marks have already picked theirs up.

played some mixed with cj against KT and KSo...
I was thinkin "wat the... Kylvin, Kelvin, Kevin.. and a Rosalynn.. haha... *cough*outcast*cough*"
I should change my name to... Kalvina or somethin. hahahaa...
and it used to be Jenny, Jerry, Jason, Jim... all those J's... now it's evolved to K's..
hmm.. maybe in a year or so I'll meet a whole bunch of badminton friends whose name starts with L. haha
ooo.. JKL... Jenny Kai-chin Lee... haha wat a coincedence...

During the middle of baddying.. I studied 220 with Jason (wat the... giving up badminton to study!? soo not me).. and we spent a freakin hour tryin to solve this problem... good thing we figured it out in the end or else all that work would go to waste.. -_-;; damnit.................... discrete math.. grrrr....
Anyhow... after that... played a final doubles match with Bondelen against Windelen and Beardelen! hehe
quite fun quite fun.... thanks to James and Ben for letting us take their spots...
We lost but it was still fun........ =D MORE doubles next time!!!
Weather was super humid on friday... sticky wet... yuck....
After badminton we went to NY the usual place.....

and then I'll have monday left to study for 220... ha... ha.......
Talked to Alan, Anna and Michael (these co-op friends) today...
and now I feel better, cuz neither Alan, Michael, or Anna have gotten any interviews yet...
haha.... I guess it is comforting to know we're all in the same boat.. -_-;;
But at the same time.. it is kinda upsetting that us second years with all similar qualities aren't getting any interviews at all..... that means employers prefer more qualified students and wat are the chances of us gettin any job, at all?

C1 Badminton in the morning with fellow baddiholics.. =D
Played lots of doubles..and a little mixed! hehee..
Doubles is sooo fun.... played with Bonnie against Winnie and Bearz!
Won 1 lost 1..... hehee good stuff... gotta have a third game someday!
The games were quite intense.. hahaa sorry I hit Bearz again.. but she got her revenge too! hehe
Duno why but I feel very aggressive when playing doubles......

Doubles is sooo fun.... played with Bonnie against Winnie and Bearz!

Badminton club always have long waits....
but wat Jeffrey said was so true....
that happens only cuz ppl hog the court warming up for so long,
and then other people who have waited for so long for them to finish decides to warm up longer so it's worth the wait, which makes otthhher ppl warm up for a long time cuz they need to wait for a looong time....
and the cycle goes on.....
so yea..... -_-;; need to find a way to enforce less warm up time...
So... to those who are reading this and in the club...

hehee Jean has such a strong wrist... and Lindy has such nice shots..
feels that the gap btwn Jennifer and me has shortened! hehee..
Feels good to know that I improved... =D
And after that.. played some doubles / mixed with Brian, Chi-ho and Helen..
hehe Brian and I got slaughtered by Chi-ho and Helen...
Chi- ho is soo good.. haha his smashes are sooo strong and angled...
And Helen's amazing.. >0< haha she doesn't look like she's really good but then she never dies..........

2 more things I forgot to blog yesterday..
-I saw this guy walking barefoot on the street holding two boxes of beer...
hmm... weird....
-I overheard this girl beside me saying "But Hong Kong people can't speak english..."...
pfffft............ I don't see that she is any better in articulation either.
she has no stance to criticize HK ppl speaking english when she is not fluent in english either... pshhhh.......
brrr...it's getting so cold....
my geog prof's weather predictions are so accurate..
only up to the level of a few days tho...
So we're gonna have cyclonic weather for these few days...
and after that our location would be above the jet stream,
and therefore will be comparatively cold to the area below the jet stream..
We're also gonna have precipitation for a few days...
yeaa.. hahaha sounds so technical now.....
anyhow... even tho my body is warm, my hands and feet are freezing.. -_-;;
I should go learn "qi gong"... so I can allow my blood to flow to wherever I want.. hahaha
Things I learnt @ C1 today:
-hitting everything to the middle
-returning smash with a crosscourt drive
-returning smash with a crosscourt block
-diving for birdies (the leg crossover from behind..)
-footwork for netshots... push with left leg and jump..
hmm.. need to strengthen calve muscles..... I get cramps waay too easily...

the first few seconds when he massages my back it hurted like hell but afterwards I get accustomed to it....
That's why I dun like it when he stops and then goes again.. haha need to get accustomed to it all over again. -_-;;
but like.. yea.. Jennifer said my muscle hurts after I play... that means my muscles are not strong enuf so they are all tired out after my exercise....... it would hurt WHEN I play, if it was an injury....
so.. yea... once again............ just need to weight train... but... me so lazy.. -_-;; need some kinda motivation.
During my trip to Wendy's to get lunch....
I saw this dog lying on the floor covered by some mats,
and beside him there was a sign that says "Please share some karma."
ahh... I felt reeally really sorry for the dog...... like.. extremely symphathetic...
especially cuz his helplessness reminded me of my dog when we had to send it away......
aiya.... but I didn't have any coins in hand... only had a $20 bill......

But.. yea.. lost sight of the backcourt dimensions... I had no idea how close Lina's lifts were close to the baseline at all... need to regain that court sense!
Ohh.. and when u play with someone that is bigger size... in one game against this guy called Steve (new friend I made! nice! hehe) it's harder cuz your view from the back may be blocked... so yea.. so hard to hit the birdie by sense without seeing the net....... -_-;;
Anyways.. good stuff.. time to change my posture.. dun wanna keep injuring myself. -_-;;

yeaaa! Done my math midterm.. hek hek hek..
then an easy geog midterm next week.. (doesn't it make u think that I typed "easy going midterm" instead of geog?)
then 2 brutal cpsc ones the week after.. ><
Oops.. skipped 2 classes today tim....
And they were quite unworthy skips.....
#1 I skipped 220 cuz I didn't have enuf sleep.. and the reason I didn't have enuf sleep is cuz my dogs suddenly started barking at 4AM in the morning.. then my dad suddenly started talkin really loudly at 6AM... and I had to wake up at 8:45-_-;;...... but if I had undisturbed sleep I wouldn't have had to skip it! aiy!
#2 I skipped 216 cuz I was doin 220 hw.... and by the end of the day I STILL didn't finish it cuz I didn't get 2 of the questions so.... and the assignment is worth 2% max anyways. -_-;;
so yea... heh..soo much space wasted talkin abt irrelevant stuff....
I duno watz my motivation of typing all that up for.... but.... yea.. I still type it in anyways. haha
well it's all these little things that makes life less dull..............
although once in a while, you get huge bigass surprises as well....
it's alll gooood... haha
Anyways.... during my math midterm today I got really pissed at the guy sitting next to me...... not Wilson, but the other guy..........
grrr......... kept on looking at my paper!!!! I was sooo disturbed. -_-;;
U may argue that I'm just being suspicuous but u can soooo tell... especially in such a crowded room like math 100....
But I didn't wanna yell at him and make a big deal out of it....
so I kept flipping the pages of my test and then HE started flipping his.. -_-;;
Even if u cheat....... do it in a smarter, less noticeable way........... -_-;;
Solution (in case of future occurences): Write "STOP LOOKIN AT MY PAPER U @#*(&@" on my paper... hek hek hek...

Oh man... life just keeps getting busier and busier...

oops.. 3 days without an update.... haha
lemme recall.. worst/best things of the day...
Thursday was spent.... in pain for most of the day...
Friday was spent.... in front of the computer in LSK for 6 hours straight
Saturday was spent.... with cj for a long while that seemed so short...
Ah! and I think I know the cause of my stomach ache on thursday...
It's cuz of apple juice!! hmm... WHY it was the cause, I don't know.. hmm..
Friday club nite.. fun stuff.. hehee...
got to play lots of doubles!!!
Good stuff.... couldn't stop laughing in the game against Hung and Shao...
Jason was like "what are u laughing at?????"
he must've thought I'm a freak who laughs at nothing before I told him that Hung and Shao are my highschool friends. hahaha...
Hung still so full of stamina. hahaha.... and Shao and our game of Squashminton.... heheee...
Uhmm.. and then played 3 mixed games with CJ against Mark/Bonnie..
Hmmmmm need to get into the mixed mindset after playing so much doubles. hehee...
and need to train to cut off Mark's crosscourt drives!!! hek hek hek....
Siu yeh @ NY.... should've gotten BEEF TONGUE! =p hehee...
The guy was hitting on Mark...... LOL

-driving forehand+backhand
-killing @ the net
-return smash by lifting
-smashing
Oh man...
physio says that I injure myself all the time cuz.....
my muscle is not strong enuf to do the things I want it to do! ><
that means.... back to weight-training!!! (if I have time, that is..)

Gwen: A certain student applied to 30 jobs and only got 1 interview
Jack: His friend applied to 80 jobs and only got 2 interviews
Herbert went to Germany for his first workterm
and.... number of jobs I've applied to so far: 15......
interviews I've gotten so far: none.......... ><

uhh.. I feel that yesterday was the beginning of my bad luck streak...
ahh... I've been stretching my luck a bit too far...
Oh wellz... as long as I'm still content with my life....
should be able to sustain and overcome this hark jai period! hahaa
Had an argument with my bro..
actually... its more like I criticized him and then kui fart ngo pei hei.
But... it all began when we started talkin abt a certain friend of mine..
he asked: did he get into UBC?
I said: no he didn't
he said: haha, kui gum jar..
at this point I was pissed cuz he has no stance to say my friend is jar cuz he hasn't gotten into ubc himself yet.
I dun like the way he builds his happiness upon other people's misfortunes.
Well anyways... dinner ended abruptly, followed by my dad's "ngaw"-ing....
a-ha... I did handle the situation quite well though because I didn't fart pei hei myself.......
i just simply said
"i dun wanna talk about this anymore so let's end the conversation."
and that did the job.
Oh mann...... 55% on my 220 assignment.. -_-;;
and I did try my best on it AND I compared answers with Justine too..........
oh no, that is not very encouraging at all...
should probably stop falling asleep in class and go to tutorials but.. uh...
waaatever.......
Oh yeaa... was talkin to some co-op peeps today... this is how the conversation went:
A: "I didn't get the golden key thing cuz I was 1% away from 85%!"
B: "Oh really? I got the Golden key thing too but I thought it was 82%!"
C: "Oh yeaa, I got that too cuz I had 85% average"
D: "I had 89%"
me: ".................... "
hahahahaha........... whoa.. all these A- average people are all competing for jobs with me......... *shivers*
1 month... =D
the rocks smell like coffee. heh
After much calculations I'm still in a 300 deficit... -_-;;
will hopefully be able to cover the hole in 2 months...
